Who We Are
The Kids Ministry of Hyland Heights Baptist Church, reaching Nursery through 6th Grade students.
We exist to help kids surrender their lives to Christ and raise them up as worshippers who live for the glory of God.
We want them to obtain a strong walk with Christ and commit to using their talents and gifts for Him. We want to produce a strong group of young Christians who know Christ on a personal level and impact the future for Him.
What We Do
NURSERY / Sundays 9:30 am-12:15 Pm
Birth – 2 years old.Children are cared for in a loving and nurturing environment. Simple Bible concepts are introduced to ages 18 months and up.
Life Groups / 9:30 am-10:45 Am
3 years old – 4th grade. The purpose of Sunday school is to introduce children to Christ, to help those children in their daily walk, and to teach them how to not be ashamed of Christ.
252 / Sundays 11:00 am-12:15 pm
For children 1st to 6th Grade. The goal of 252 is to provide an environment to learn about God in an exciting and fun way. First through Fourth Graders attend a service that uses puppets, videos, games, object lessons, music, and stories to teach Biblical principles
CHURCH 56 / Sundays 9:30-10:45 am
The aim of Church 56 is to encourage the older kids to go deeper in their walk with Christ. Through games, worship, and lessons, the kids are challenged to find what it means to truly carry the name “Christian.” Kids are together in large group 1st hour & in small groups 2nd hour.
CORE / Select Sundays 5:30-8 pm
For 5th and 6th Graders. CORE is a safe and welcoming space for your children to connect with their peers and explore their faith. Through fun activities and interactive lessons, they will gain a deeper understanding of God’s love and plan for their lives. Parents meet in HHBC gym at 5:30, but the location varies (church or host homes).
AWANA / Wednesdays 6:30-8 pm
Awana meets from September through May. Kids are involved in Games, Music, Bible Memorization, Counsel Time, and lots more!
Summer chill: a series of individual events for kids. A weekly scheduled late spring, excluding July, series of events.
Summer Chill has been called either Summer Nights or Wednesdays while I have been here. It could be important to emphasize this is not run in July and that different options exist for preschool and elementary kids.
