Well, this morning there are some who are sad, some who are mad and some who are glad with the results of the election yesterday. I can remember hearing my parents and others say through the years when their candidate lost the election, that they “wasted” their vote. I tried to figure that logic out and at times agreed but now have come to disagree completely. You see, voting is a great privilege that we have as citizens of this great nation and no matter if your candidate won or lost, you were able to make your voice heard. Even when you look at one of our local elections only 55 votes made the difference in who won and lost so no one wasted their vote. (By the way, if you didn’t vote you can be quiet about elected officials until the next election.)

The Bible tells us that nothing we do for the Kingdom is ever wasted, even if it seems like it is. A word spoken in kindness, giving a helping hand, encouraging others when they are down, posting a blessing on someone else’s Facebook page, is never wasted. I know we do a lot of good things for others and many times it seems those acts go unnoticed. However our Father sees it all. He keeps a record of those things we do for Him no matter if anyone ever recognizes us or not. So do good to all people, love them, and remember nothing you say or do for Him is ever wasted.
Paul told us in Colossians to conduct ourselves with wisdom in our interactions with outsiders (non-believers), make the most of each opportunity. Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to answer each one who questions you (Colossians 4:5-6). Today show the love of Christ to someone else and bring a smile to your Father’s face.

Remember in prayer the Adkins family as Bobby’s funeral is this morning at 11:00 at the church.
See you this evening as we gather for choir, Bible study, Awana, Student Ministries and so much more. Don’t miss receiving a mid-week boost to your spiritual walk.

Impacting tomorrow today,
