Psalm 86:12-13
I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.

No matter how many years we have left to live on this earth we can never, ever, ever get to the bottom of the depths of the goodness of God. We could never sing every song that tells of His goodness. We could never express all the praise that He deserves. Even if every day of the rest of our lives were spent praising God with our whole hearts the truth is that our forever future is to glorify His name!
When we remember how God has delivered us, what He has delivered us from and what He’s invited us to our response is to praise and glorify Him for what He has done. His love toward us is great and so our response of praise to Him should be great as well!
This week when we gather as a church it will be another chance for us to praise God with our whole hearts together and to be reminded that we’ll glorify God’s name together forever. We get to help remind each other that the things God has delivered us from are not our reality anymore and that the great love of God toward us rescues people from every depth.

What does it mean for our praise of God to be with our whole heart? Are you aware of the depths that God has rescued you from and does that impact how you praise God? Does the perspective of glorifying God’s name forever impact how you worship God now?

God who delivers and saves, we say together that our desire is to praise You with our whole heart today, this weekend, every day of our lives and into forever. We remember how You have delivered us from the depths, saved us from the dead and given us new life because of what Jesus has done. We remember Your great love and we want our praise to demonstrate how amazing You are. Please deliver and rescue people this weekend as we gather with our church to worship You! Amen.
