As the story continues to unfold from Las Vegas, we are being introduced to those whose lives were taken. They were nurses, doctors, teachers, secretaries, and workers in various industries. The fact is they were people just like you and me. They were people just like the people we work with and interact with at school functions and community events. They walked around the mall, they showed up at yard sales, they lived normal lives. They were also one other thing – an eternal soul. It is easy to forget that every person will live forever in one of two places.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost. He came to give us the ultimate comfort when facing death, to know that our loved ones are alive in heaven.

I want to challenge us all to remember that the people around us need to see the light of Christ shining through us. We need to remember that life holds no guarantees of tomorrow and if we don’t tell them about Christ who will? I have wondered how many of them had friends or family members who are believers but never shared their faith with them. You and I have been called and commissioned to share Christ with everyone around us.

May we be light and salt to all we meet as we never know what tomorrow holds.

It’s hump day – middle of the week, and many of you are making plans for the weekend. Let me remind you that on Friday night there will be Paint Night for one and all. It starts at 7:00 p.m. and there is a $10 fee. Also remember that Saturday morning is our Vendor Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with some 30 vendors participating and there will be Brunswick Stew for sale. These are ministry events that allow us to fellowship with one another and allow us to connect with people in our community as they attend. Our Men’s Ministry guys are praying diligently and asking God to help them share the Gospel on Saturday as people come to the Vendor Fair. By the way, don’t forget we still have church on Sunday mornings and we want you to be here. On Sunday afternoon, 3:00 -5:00 p.m. in the Joshua House, there is a meeting for any and all interested in our Outdoor Ministry. With the re-acquisition of the Ministry Land, we’re re-starting this ministry so if you’re interested be sure and be here.

Impacting Tomorrow Today,

Pastor Carl
